Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a well-known tourist destination, with several daily flights from the main Spanish and European cities.  Hotels in Las Palmas are mainly located in La Playa de Las Canteras which is within walking distance, along the promenade, of the Alfredo Kraus Auditory (Meeting Venue).  Three, four and five stars hotels are available, at very convenient (low-season) prices in May 2007.  Tourist packages are also available for European and Spanish visitors. It is recommended that visitors take advantage of the huge amount of tourist oriented offers and that they book well in advance when planning their trip to Las Palmas.
